Organ Concert Fundraiser for Notre Dame Cathedral

Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to hear internationally renown organ Maestro David di Fiore- tremendous historical organ music in support of a tremendous historical cathedral:

Trinity Episcopal Church, Everett, as part of the “Arts at Trinity” will present organist, David di Fiore, in a program of largely French organ music on Sunday, November 3rd at 3:00 pm. A portion of the funds raised from this recital will be sent to Paris, to help with the restoration of Notre Dame Cathedral after the fire this past April.

Mr. di Fiore’s program will cover several centuries of organ music, and include works by Couperin, Balbastre, Bach, Handel, Franck, Satie, Saint-Saens, Eben, and Demessieux. 

The suggested donation is $20 per person. All donation amounts are gratefully welcomed. The gift of your presence and support is all that is necessary.

Handicap access and parking are available. General free parking is available in the church parking lot located off of the west side of Hoyt Ave, one house north of the church. Additional free street parking is also available in the area.

DAVID DI FIORI BIOGRAPHY

David di Fiore performed his European debut recital at the Cathedral of Notre-Dame in Paris, which launched his international career some 32 years ago (March 1, 1987). He is presently on the faculty at Catholic University in Ruzomberok, Slovak Republic, where he is teaching organ, history of the organ and organ repertoire, organ construction, improvisation, liturgical organ playing  and choral conducting. In February, 2019,  he was honored with a „visiting“  invitation to teach organ performance at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.  He celebrated the anniversary of his 1000th concert during  the organ festival,  August, 2017 in Cathédrale Sainte-Croix d’Orléans, France with a dual celebration at Vivat Vox Organi in Banska Bystrica, Slovak Republic in September 2017. That number keeps growing as he performs for more festivals every season.

Over the last 32 years those performances have taken place at numerous organ festivals in Austria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and the Slovak and Czech Republics, as well as in France and  Italy. In North America his performances have included recitals in Canada, the International Festival in Morelia, Mexico (the oldest organ festival in the Western Hemisphere), the International Organ Festival held in Guadalajara, the Puerto Vallarta Arts Festival, and in numerous American cities His discography includes a recording of French music Les Amoureux de l’Orgue,a performance of the „Organ Symphony“ with the Auburn Sympnony Orchestra, his Slovak recordings, The Grand Organ of the Castle Church in Kremnica, Volumes 1,2 and 3 (Slovart), recitals from Graz Orgelfest, a DVD of his recital from Trnava (Editions M. Walcker-Mayer), and the latest cd of his recital „Cathedral Organ Festival“ recorded live at the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. Martin in Bratislava.  (Tribus Music). His recording of the cycle “Job“ of Petr Eben with Reverend Rachel Taber-Hamilton as narrator,  will be released under the Tribus label in 2019.

Mr. di Fiore was a pupil of French organist, Odile Pierre. He has appeared as recitalist, conductor, accompanist, and clinician for the Archdiocese of Seattle, the National Association of Methodist Musicians,  Catholic University in Ruzomberok, has received the award “Distinguished Graduate” from the National Catholic Education Association, has been awarded a diploma from the government of Mexico for his “extraordinary participation” as part of international organ festivals and was awarded a special diploma for his contribution to the organ world and his performances from the Slovak Society Ars Ante Portas. He was honored by the American Guild of Organists (Seattle) for his contributions to performance art internationally.
