 Dianne McCormack – Parish Administrator

 David Spring – Music Director

David Spring has served as Music Director and Organist at Trinity since 2001.

He has been conducting church, school, and community choirs and musical theatre groups in the Seattle, Washington area ever since college.   “The Music Man” remains one of David’s favorites, and he’s been recruiting singers with the line “singing is just sustained speaking” for years.  (It works!)

David graduated from the University of Washington with studies in organ, music education, choral and instrumental conducting, and voice.  Early on, he taught high school choir and band along with parish work, but found it difficult to balance the time, and choose church music as his primary focus and love.  He has served as organist/music director (and sometimes liturgical coordinator) for several Roman Catholic and Presbyterian churches in the greater Seattle area.

In addition to serving at Trinity, he was Community Assistance Coordinator for the Interfaith Association of NW Washington, working in homelessness prevention and education.  Since 2008, he has been on the ArtReach staff for Studio East in Kirkland (training in the performing arts) and maintains a small private keyboard and vocal teaching studio.

Of all the churches where he has served, he finds the greatest satisfaction at Trinity, due to the great support of the arts in general and the wonderful choral tradition he is honored to continue leading.   David feels a certain pride in the acquisition of the 1971 Balcom and Vaughan pipe organ from Spokane, installed in 2009, considered by many to be the finest, most versatile organ in Everett.  The parish’s commitment to that project was just one of many examples of its commitment to fostering meaningful traditional and other styles of music in our worship, culture, and outreach.

 Carol Rypkema – Accounts Manager

A Pacific Northwest native, Carol Rypkema is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound where she majored in Business Administration (Accounting concentration).  After passing the CPA exam, Carol worked for the Federal Government as an examiner for the National Credit Union Administration and later as an auditor with the Air Force Audit Agency.  Carol’s husband served in the Air Force, and when his career took them to England, besides travelling extensively, she earned a Master’s Degree in Management from Troy State University.

After the birth of their first child, Carol and her husband Chris moved to Snohomish County where she opened a small accounting practice and became a “professional volunteer” at St Hilda’s-St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church and her children’s schools.  When the last child left for college, Carol  decided to re-enter the world of paying work.

As a result Evie Beard’s intervention, Carol became the Accounts Manger at Trinity Episcopal Church in 2011. This part-time job joined several others, one as a professor of Accounting at Lake Washington Institute of Technology, and additional work providing part-time accounting support for another church and a small manufacturing company, both located in Snohomish County.

When not busy with debits and credits, Carol enjoys cooking, reading mysteries and science fiction, and knitting.
